Target: A European based Global Strategic Sourcing Manager experienced a change of leadership and fell under a new U.S. VP.
Problem: The Sourcing Manager had difficulty adjusting to her new U.S. boss as they had diametrically different operating styles and exercised differing cultural behaviors within the workplace.
Outcome: Through coaching the Strategic Sourcing Manager explored her resistance to the new leadership paradigm -and confronted her own limiting beliefs and behaviors about her role in the organization – before she understood, accepted and embraced the new leadership’s change in strategic direction. Through the process of enhanced self awareness she was able to see how her behaviors had contributed to a conflict in the leader/follower relationship and diminished communication. Not only did she achieve new awareness but also developed and executed a strategy to rebuild the relationship and reestablish her sphere of influence within the organization.
