slide1Target:An Engineer Manager is stuck in his previous “expert” role and his need to be right,

Problem: As he has moved upwards within his organization and assumed more senior leadership positions he has not let go of the way he use to behave as a more junior employee. He is unfamiliar with the adage of “what got you here wont get you there” so his behaviors alienate his colleagues and subordinates.

Outcome: Through coaching and exploration of his beliefs about leadership performance and behaviors we helped him to see how disruptive his current leadership behavior was towards achieving successful business outcomes.We suggest resources to extend his knowledge specific to the current challenge that led him to coaching and helped him to develop leadership capabilities to achieve long-term change. We identified areas of leadership influence that he could master in the short and long term and he pursued each with purposeful and intentional behavior changes.
