Target: A new Chief Executive Officer of a boutique construction management company wants to achieve better results through developing a more collaborative leadership style.

Problem: The problem is that the CEO has come up through the ranks of the construction industry without ever developing any of the influencing or collaborative leadership skills he now knows are necessary to effectively lead in his new position.

Outcome: Through coaching in the realm of emotional intelligence the client develops a strategy and execute his approach to building relationships based on trust and respect, while also leading or contributing to partnership relationships. He is especially committed to understanding the leadership skill of influencing people over whom he has no authority, but who may also have leadership roles and are responsible for effective project outcomes. Stepping back from tactical operations was initially a stretch, however he reached for new skills leading to more collaborative approaches towards resolving conflicting views, and working to reach shared solutions.
